The Van Horn Automotive Group recently broke ground on a new addition and remodel for their Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT location at 3000 Eastern Ave in Plymouth, WI.

The foundation of the original 16,000 sq. ft. “Dodge dealership” will remain intact. A 7,800 sq. ft. expansion will be built out to the west with a showroom dedicated to the Jeep brand and a larger service center with 6 additional service bays and 2 new car delivery bays. This new space is designed to offer more capacity and efficiencies for employees to serve customers.

In addition to the showroom and service center updates, over 8,500 sq. ft. of the building’s interior will be renovated, including new floors, main level/upstairs offices, bathrooms, customer lounges, factory logos and energy efficient LED lighting.

“We are very excited for this addition and remodel,” said Chuck Van Horn, co-CEO of Van Horn Automotive Group. “Dodge is one of our oldest and most visited dealerships. It’s personal to me, since it was the second dealership in the group, and the first one I managed. The original building was located in downtown Plymouth, where the current Plymouth Arts Center resides. Unfortunately, it was destroyed in an electrical fire in 1993, so we built a new store in 1994 on the east side of town which was barely developed at the time. My father, Joe Van Horn, and I planted the rose bushes in front of the showroom that are still in place today. The last remodel was mostly cosmetic in 2010, when we added Chrysler and Jeep; but otherwise it hasn’t seen any major updates since it was built in 1994. With this new, modern look, expanded space and greater service capacity, we hope to create a more comfortable environment for our guests and employees alike and continue to provide world class service. We feel deep gratitude to all of our customers and employee owners who have made this dealership so successful.”

Construction of the new addition and interior/exterior renovation is expected to be complete by March of 2022.
